Abid Majid
CEO & Managing Partner

Abid is a Partner of Jason Capital Partners LLP.  He started his investment banking career at Goldman Sachs in London in 1997 as an analyst in Emerging Debt Capital Markets in the Fixed Income division and then became an associate in Credit Risk Management & Advisory; he went on the work as an investment analyst with Tailwind Advisory & Management and prior to joining Jason Capital he was Portfolio Manager at Harmony Capital Management. Abid graduated in economics from the London School of Economics.


Halim Saad
Associate Partner

Halim is an Associate Partner of Jason Capital Partners LLP and a member of its investment committee. He also focuses on business development. He is founder and Chairman of Vega Capital, a Private Equity and Venture Capital boutique. He is also Managing Partner at Citation Capital, a Natural Resources Private Equity boutique. His career started in 1988 as Head of Quants at Drexel Burham Lambert and in 1990 became Head of Institutional Sales at Paine Webber in Paris. In 1997, he was appointed General Manager of the Private Client Division and B2B services of Refco Europe. Halim was appointed the CEO in London of the Regulated Business of International Financial Advisors, Kuwait. Halim holds a thesis in Quantum Mechanics from University of Paris VI and a Masters in Finance from ESSEC business school.


Arnault de Torquat

Arnault is an Adviser to Jason Capital Partners LLP.  He worked 12 Years at Citibank in London and Zurich in various positions including Head of Citibank Institutional Asset Management for Continental Europe. Managing Director at Bankers Trust in 1993, Managing Director at Salomon Brothers and Chairman of Salomon Smith Barney (France) in 1996, Global Head of Financial Institutions at Barclays Capital in London, and a director of Barclays Asset Management Ltd in 2000.  After his long career in the City, Arnault was a Managing Director of Harmony Capital Management Limited. Arnault graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and holds a Master in Law of the University of Paris.


Laurence Llewellyn

Laurence has over 40 years experience in international banking, finance and investment including 30 years with Citibank. He founded the wealth management practice at Bank T&D Consulting, providing strategic and business management consultancy to financial institutions in the emerging markets in the areas of asset management, wealth management and private banking and is chairman of its Dubai based successor, Wealth Elements Consulting. Laurence was for some years an Executive Director at F&C responsible for distribution where he set up and supervised a number of long term partnerships around Europe. At Citibank Laurence held senior positions in EMEA and Asia in corporate banking, country and regional management (CEO roles), asset management and wealth management. He was a senior credit officer of the bank and was chairman of the Investment Products Policy Committee. Laurence graduated from Manchester University, took his MBA at Cranfield and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
